DOE Establishes Rebate Program for Replacement Fans Jul 23rd, 2023

As part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on Aug. 3 announced $20 million to support the installation of energy-efficient distribution transformers and “extended product systems” (EPS), motor-driven products sold with motors and drives, such as pumps, air compressors, and fans.

The rebate program is a big boost to ENERVEX's line of BEFx Box Ventilators. The BEFx was one of the first AMCA-certified FEI-rated centrifugal fans and still one of the few that are.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has warned that global warming must be limited to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels in order to avoid the worst impacts of climate change, such as extreme weather events, sea-level rise, and ecosystem collapse.

To achieve this, global carbon emissions must be reduced by at least 50% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.
