The Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Century Blvd is a contemporary suite hotel located half a mile from Los Angeles International Airport.

The Project:

• Three Raypak water heaters are located in a penthouse boiler room.
• The water heaters can only be vented through a sidewall located 30+ feet away.

ENERVEX Solution:

• ENERVEX designed a chimney system combining all three of the water heaters into a single chimney.
• The chimney is terminated through a sidewall with an RSV fan mounted to provide mechanical draft.
• The fan modulates with the heater operation with the help of an EBC 30 Modulating Fan Controller.
• The water heaters are interlocked with the EBC 30 controller to prevent operation in case of a mechanical or electrical failure.
