The Georgia Aquarium located in Atlanta, GA is one of the largest aquariums in the world, with more than 55,000 fish, 500 species and 8 million gallons of freshwater and saltwater. Their success depends on efficient boiler operation, appropriate ventilation and aesthetics.

The Challenges:

  • Four boilers used to heat 8 million gallons of water
  • Boiler room located under parking structure with the stack system running outside the structure in an enclosure

ENERVEX Solution:

  • Demand-Controlled CASV450-2 mechanical draft system serving the boilers
  • Fans located on top of the stack were installed in a closed casing, out of sight at the top of the parking structure for aesthetic reasons
