RSV315 and EBC12/MEC18/EBC12X/EBC30 with Triac board blowing fuses.
It has been noted that due to the higher rated amperage draw (5.8 amps) from the motor used in the RSV315 combined with the 6.3 amp slow-blow ceramic fuse used in the EBC12, MEC18, EBC12X and the Triac Board, there may be instances where blown fuses becomes an issue. As the fan ramps up upon initial call, the amp draw exceeds the 6.3 amp rating of the slow-blow ceramic fuse used in our controls for a short duration, generally less than 8 seconds. This scenario is completely normal, however, in some instances, a motor & control replacement in conjunction is required to alleviate this issue. Prior to replacing parts, the nominal running amp draw from the fan should be verified to be within spec (@100% fan output, approximately 5 amps).
