Title

I am measuring 120V AC between terminal 20 and ground on my EBC10 without a Call for Heat

Problem

I am measuring 120V AC between terminal 20 and ground on my EBClO without a Call for Heat.

Solution

If the Call for Heat signal has not been wired to terminals 4-7 (AC/DC Thermostat In) on the EBClO and the motor wires connected to terminals 19 (Hot), terminal 20 (Neutral), and terminal 21 (Ground), you will measure the following voltages.

  • b/w terminals 19 & 20 - OV AC
  • b/w terminals 19 & 21 - 120V AC
  • b/w terminals 20 & 21 - 120V AC

These measurements are completely normal assuming the ground wire is present in the power supply feeding the EBClO (terminals 1, 2 & 3).
