Georgetown Brewery
Seattle , WA

Georgetown Brewery sought a cost effective solution for adding boiler capacity during the performance of periodic cleaning of their brewing equipment. Their initial intent was to purchase a replacement boiler, but this quickly became cost prohibitive.

The Project:

  • Heat recovery from a single steam boiler.
  • Reclaim flue gas waste heat from the boiler and achieve "additional boiler capacity"
  • Qualified for Puget Sound Energy grant

ENERVEX Solution:

  • IPVB Power Venter equipped with a VHX Single-Row Economizer controlled via an EBC 35 Modulating Draft and CO Controller.
  • Annual savings of 2,600+ Therms
  • 2.5 Year Payback

Puget Sound Energy participated with a $25,000 grant and made a Case Study out of the project.
